Method

Footnote answers running questions from evidence cards extracted from research papers. A claim with no card is marked, not hidden. The engine is measured against a fixed set of 22 golden questions, graded by hand — the numbers live at /evals.

Invites

Live asking is invite-only while budgets are small. Invites come from the owner, in person.

Passages

A source's verbatim passage renders only when the paper's license is on an explicit allow-list (CC-BY, CC-BY-SA, CC0, public domain). Otherwise the extracted card and a DOI link render instead.
